England’s perfect Quilter Nations Series campaign continued with a dramatic 27–23 victory over Argentina — and rising flanker Henry Pollock once again stole the spotlight. The 20-year-old delivered another energetic cameo that, according to Ellis Genge, is inspiring England’s senior players throughout the autumn window.
Genge: “He gives the whole squad new energy”
Veteran prop Ellis Genge praised Pollock’s influence, saying the young back-row’s attitude and intensity lift the team, especially in tight moments.
Genge, who started the match at Twickenham, said Pollock brings enthusiasm and competition that pushes everyone forward. “He loves every second on the field,” Genge noted, highlighting how Pollock’s attitude “keeps standards high” and injects freshness into the side.
England Build Lead Before Argentina Fight Back
England made a strong start, with tries from Max Ojomoh and Immanuel Feyi-Waboso giving Steve Borthwick’s side early control. Henry Slade added another after the break, but Argentina responded with tries from Justo Piccardo and Rodrigo Isgro, plus accurate kicking from Tomas Albornoz and Santiago Carreras.
The closing stages were tense, but England held firm to secure their fourth win from four this autumn, following victories over New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
Pollock’s Impact Growing Each Week
Pollock entered the match in the 51st minute and immediately influenced the breakdown and defensive pressure. His performances throughout the series have earned consistent praise, and England’s coaching group view his development as a major positive heading into next season.
Genge joked that having young players around “keeps him from feeling old,” but made clear that Pollock’s confidence and work rate are already at international level.
Earl Highlights Ojomoh’s Premiership Form
Ben Earl also singled out Ojomoh, who was a late call-up but delivered a standout display in midfield. Earl said the match showed the strength and depth of the Gallagher Premiership, noting that players performing well domestically are now stepping straight into Test rugby with confidence.
England Complete a Rare Perfect Autumn
England’s unbeaten run marks one of their strongest autumn performances in recent years and builds momentum heading toward the 2026 international calendar.
With experienced forwards delivering consistency and young talents like Pollock emerging, England look increasingly balanced — and increasingly dangerous.
