Duhan van der Merwe is Scotland’s record-chasing wing and the most straightforwardly frightening ball-carrier in the Six Nations — a South African-born, Edinburgh-based unit whose highlight reel against England alone would make most careers. His length-of-the-field finishes at Twickenham and Murrayfield in successive Calcutta Cup matches are already among the most replayed tries in the fixture’s history.
