Finn Russell has spent a decade as the most-watched fly-half in Britain, and at Bath he finally added silverware to the highlight reels — the 2025 Premiership title arrived with Russell running the game exactly as Scotland fans always insisted he could. The caricature of Russell as a gambler has always been lazy. He came through Falkirk and Ayr rather than a professional academy, spent formative years at Glasgow Warriors under Gregor Townsend, then made the leap to Racing 92 in Paris before Bath brought him back to British rugby.
