Isaac Koffi

Isaac Koffi played his first Top 14 match on 28 September 2024, at the Stade du Hameau, coming on for Clément Castets with eleven minutes left. It was his nineteenth birthday. A year later, on the same ground, he was knocked out cold in the fourth minute trying to tackle Reece Hewat and left on a stretcher.

Loosehead prop at Stade Français, 1.95m and 98kg, and 20 years old.

Bagneux had him from 2015, at the Club Olympique Multisports, and the Paris academy took him in 2018 at thirteen. He took a BTS in property management at SUP de V while he was in it, which is what an academy contract is supposed to allow for and often does not.

France picked him for the under-18s in 2023 alongside Yannick Lodjro, who had been in the same Bagneux side. Under-20 followed: he started the crunch against England in February 2025, a match France lost 27-10, and finished that campaign with a Six Nations title.

His first start had come the week after his debut, at Jean-Bouin against Montpellier. In April 2025 the club gave him four more seasons, two on an academy deal and two professional, which for a prop of nineteen is a long look.

Yannick Lodjro is worth noting for a second reason. Two boys out of the same club in Bagneux, one of the inner suburbs that supplies Paris rugby and is almost never credited for it, reached a France age-grade side in the same year.

He is 1.95m, which is tall for a loosehead, and 98kg, which is light for one. The four-year deal is the club saying it expects the second number to move.
