James Lowe is Ireland’s left-edge finisher and the loudest personality in a squad famous for measured ones — a Kiwi-born wing who arrived at Leinster via the Chiefs, qualified on residency, and turned himself into a central figure of the best sustained era in Irish rugby history, Grand Slam included.

The left boot is the superpower. Lowe’s spiral clearances from inside his own 22 regularly flip sixty metres of territory, and Ireland’s exit strategy has been visibly built around funnelling pressure kicks onto his wing — a tactical wrinkle few Test teams can copy because few wings anywhere kick like him.
