Kléo Labarbe

Kléo Labarbe weighs 65 kilograms. In a competition where the average forward is approaching 115kg and the average back is past 90, there is nobody lighter on any squad list in the division.

Note on his current club: Labarbe is still listed in Racing 92‘s squad data. He was loaned to the Stade Aurillacois in Pro D2 for the 2026-27 season, with an option on a second year.

Scrum-half, 1.75m, and 22 years old.

Saint-Médard trained him and gave him senior rugby in the third division at eighteen. Before that he had won a national title with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional side and reached a national junior semi-final with his club.

Bayonne took him in 2023 and used him three times in Europe, starting with a quarter of an hour against Northampton in the Champions Cup in January 2024. France selected him for the under-20 Six Nations that March, and he came on against Wales at Cardiff Arms Park in a 45-12 win.

Racing signed him in April 2024 and started him on his debut against Castres that September. His first try came in a Challenge Cup semi-final against Lyon in May 2025, and he scored twice against the same club on the final day of the league season. That month he also captained France to a win over England in the annual student international at Terrasson.

Ten matches and one try in 2025-26 was not enough to hold a Top 14 place, hence the drop to the second division, which for a 22-year-old nine of his size is the right amount of rugby rather than a demotion.
