Veresa Tuqovu Ramototabua

Twenty-six years old, on a Top 14 roster, and with no published trace of the career that got him there.

Veresa Tuqovu Ramototabua is 26 and on a Top 14 roster, and there is no published account of how he got there. That combination is rarer than it sounds.

He is a back-row forward at Castres, 1.95m and 107kg, born on 12 June 2000, and is recorded as French in the squad data despite a Fijian name. Both can be true, since French-qualified Fijian players are common in this league, and this page will not resolve it beyond what the data says.

At 1.95m and 107kg he is tall and comparatively light, which points to a blindside who wins lineout ball rather than a No. 8. He is the lightest of the nine forwards at the club standing 1.93m or over.

Searches return nothing usable: no encyclopedia entry in any language, nothing filed under this name at age-grade level, no mention in the club’s published summaries.

Twenty-six puts him past the point where an undocumented player is simply young. A career of that length with no public trace has usually been spent in Fédérale or Nationale rugby, which almost nothing covers, and players do arrive in Top 14 squads from there — Aurélien Azar reached this division at 28 by that exact route.

What is confirmed is a place in the squad and a set of measurements. There will be more here when a source exists.
