About Dan Robson
Wasps were placed into administration on 17 October 2022 and Dan Robson was made redundant. He was thirty, an England international, and out of work. Pau signed him in November and he debuted against Brive on the 27th.
Scrum-half at Pau, 1.73m and 82kg, and 34 years old.
He started at five at Stoke-on-Trent and followed his father Simon into the professional game. Simon played for Moseley and travelled with England in 1988, named among the replacements in five matches without getting on.
Gloucester gave him a career from 2010 and a Challenge Cup medal in 2015, won from the bench against Edinburgh. He left for Wasps that summer and reached two Premiership finals with them, in 2017 and 2020, losing both to Exeter.
England were slow with him. He was a junior Grand Slam winner in 2011 and 2012 and played for the Saxons from 2014, and Eddie Jones had him in camps from 2016, but the first cap did not arrive until 10 February 2019, against France, replacing Ben Youngs. He scored against Italy in the same tournament and against Georgia the following year, and came on in the Autumn Nations Cup final England won in extra time.
In France he has been first choice and then shared the position with Thibault Daubagna. He began 2025-26 with a try against Stade Français and an assist at Castres before fracturing his fibula on 18 September.
A small, quick nine with sixteen years of professional rugby behind him, still starting Top 14 matches at 34.
