Juan Segundo Martin Montilla

Born in July 2007, and the youngest player on Clermont's list. The squad data does not even carry his height.

Juan Segundo Martin Montilla was born on 6 July 2007, which makes him the youngest player on Clermont‘s list. He is a back.

The squad data does not carry his height or his weight, which is itself telling: those fields are populated for every other player in the squad. He is new enough to the system that the basic measurements have not been entered.

Wikipedia has no article on him; a search returns a Spanish government page and a film. Clermont’s published season write-ups do not mention him, and no age-grade international appearance is recorded under this name.

The name suggests an Argentine or Spanish background, and Clermont have a recent history of recruiting young Argentine backs — Bautista Delguy is in the same squad — but that is an inference, not a fact, and it is not going to be written here as one.

At nineteen he is on a Top 14 club’s books. Everything else about him is still to happen, and this page will be written properly when it does.
