About Kilian Geraci

Kilian Geraci won the World Rugby Under-20 Championship twice, in 2018 and 2019. Only one France generation has ever done that, and he was in both squads.

He is a second row at Lyon, 2.00m and 115kg, born in Grenoble on 25 March 1999.

Those two titles are the substance of his published record, and this page is not going to pad the rest. Nobody has written up his youth clubs, his senior debut or his appearance totals in any language, which is remarkable for a player with two world titles.

What the measurements say is straightforward. At two metres and 115kg he is a genuine lineout target, and he is in a Lyon second row alongside Félix Lambey and Janse Roux, with the club having lost Tomás Lavanini.

He is 27, which is the age a second row is usually at their best — locks peak later than any position except prop.

A double junior world champion who has not yet been capped at senior level is either unlucky or in the wrong country, and in the French second row of this decade it is emphatically the second.
