Matmut Atlantique holds 42,115 and is the larger of Union Bordeaux Bègles’ two home grounds, in the north of Bordeaux. The club use it for their biggest Top 14 and European fixtures.

Matmut Atlantique capacity

Capacity is 42,115. It opened in 2015, primarily for Girondins de Bordeaux, and its colonnade of slim white pillars is the most distinctive stadium architecture in France.

Bordeaux’s two grounds

UBB play most Top 14 rounds at the smaller Stade Chaban-Delmas and move here when a fixture warrants the extra 8,000 seats.

Rugby World Cup

The ground staged pool matches at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
