The Orange Vélodrome holds 67,394 and is France’s second-largest stadium, in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille. Olympique de Marseille are the regular tenants, and rugby arrives for Tests and the biggest Top 14 fixtures.

Vélodrome capacity

Capacity is 67,394 following the 2014 redevelopment that added a roof over all four stands. The name survives from the cycling track that ringed the pitch until 1985.

Rugby at the Vélodrome

Toulon move their largest fixtures here from Stade Mayol, and France have played Tests at the ground. It staged matches at the 2007 and 2023 Rugby World Cups.

Atmosphere

The Marseille crowd is the loudest in French sport, and the steep stands added in 2014 pushed the noise higher still.
