Stade Chaban-Delmas holds 34,462 and is Union Bordeaux Bègles’ regular home, in the Bordeaux suburb of Lescure. UBB moved their Top 14 base here in 2015.

Stade Chaban-Delmas capacity

Capacity is 34,462. The ground opened in 1938 for the football World Cup and is named after Jacques Chaban-Delmas, mayor of Bordeaux for 48 years.

Bordeaux’s two grounds

UBB play most Top 14 rounds here and move to the larger Matmut Atlantique for the fixtures that need its extra 8,000 seats.

The velodrome ring

A cycling track ringed the pitch until 1987, which is why the lower stands sit further from the touchline than in a purpose-built rugby ground.
