Welford Road holds 26,000 and is Leicester Tigers’ home, a mile south of the city centre. It is the largest club-owned rugby ground in England.

Welford Road capacity

Capacity is 26,000 following the 2016 rebuild of the Robin Hood Stand. Tigers have played on the site since 1892.

The Crumbie

The Crumbie Stand takes its name from Tom Crumbie, the club secretary who ran Leicester for three decades from 1895 and built the ground into a Test-capable venue.

Who plays at Welford Road

Leicester Tigers play Premiership and European rugby here. The club’s crowds are consistently among the largest in English club rugby.
