Louka Guilhot

One of only two players in the squad born in 2006, and the club has a visible record of promoting teenagers.

Two players in the Castres squad were born in 2006. Louka Guilhot is one and Colin Dupuy is the other. Everyone else on the list is at least eighteen months older.

Guilhot is French, a back, 1.83m and 80kg, and was born on 17 January 2006.

That build points to the back three or fly-half rather than midfield. He is the same weight as Adam Vargas, who plays on the wing, and lighter than every centre in the squad.

Nothing else about him is published: no Wikipedia entry, no France age-grade appearance recorded for him, and nothing in the club’s own season write-ups. The page will not go past the data.

What can be said is that the route exists here and is well used. Théo Chabouni came through the same academy, played his first professional match at eighteen, and by 21 held a first-team shirt, a contract to 2028 and a Midi Olympique young player award. Baptiste Cope debuted at eighteen from a village club.

Castres promote from within more visibly than most Top 14 sides, which is what makes a name like this one worth recording rather than ignoring.

Whether Guilhot takes that route is unwritten, and so is most of this page. He is twenty, and there is time for both.
