About Guzmán Barreiro

Guzmán Barreiro was announced as head coach of Los Teros in August 2026, part of a structural reset by Uruguayan rugby that installed an entirely Uruguayan coaching staff. He replaces Rodolfo Ambrosio, who left the role after the World Rugby Nations Cup. Barreiro steps up from the Uruguay under-20 programme, where he coached the Teritos, and takes over a side that has been one of the most consistent tier-two performers of the past decade, having qualified for three successive Rugby World Cups.
