About Johan Ackermann
Johan Ackermann was named Vodacom Bulls head coach in July 2025, taking over from Jake White. A former South Africa lock, he made his coaching reputation with the Lions, whom he took to three consecutive Super Rugby finals, before spells at Gloucester and in Japan with the Red Hurricanes. He returns to South African rugby with the Bulls competing in both the United Rugby Championship and the Currie Cup.
