About John Dobson

John Dobson has led the Stormers since 2020, first as head coach and from 2024 as director of rugby, retaining responsibility for the on-field side. In January 2026 he signed a four-year extension running to 2029. He coached the Stormers to the inaugural United Rugby Championship title in 2022 and has been the defining figure of the franchise’s move into the northern-hemisphere league.
