Pablo Lemoine has led Chile since late 2018 and is the coach who took Los Cóndores to their first Rugby World Cup, qualifying for the 2023 tournament in France. A former Uruguay prop who played in England and France and appeared at two World Cups himself, he had previously coached his own country before crossing the Andes. His long tenure has coincided with the professionalisation of Chilean rugby through Selknam and the Súperliga Americana. In August 2026 a bill granting him Chilean nationality passed the Chamber of Deputies.
