About Simon Mannix

Simon Mannix took charge of Portugal in April 2024 on a four-year contract running through to 2027, inheriting a side that had captured attention at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. A former New Zealand age-grade and provincial fly-half, he spent most of his coaching career in Europe with the Hurricanes, Racing 92, Pau and Gloucester before moving into international rugby. Os Lobos reached the Rugby Europe Championship final in 2026, beating Georgia to lift the title.
