About Les Kiss
Les Kiss was named as the next Wallabies head coach in April 2025 in an unusually long handover, with Joe Schmidt extending his own tenure until the middle of 2026 before stepping aside. Kiss took charge in August 2026, his first Test in the role coming against Japan in Osaka on 9 August. A dual-code figure who played rugby league for Australia before moving into union coaching, he made his name as a defence specialist with Ireland, then held senior roles at Ulster, London Irish and the Queensland Reds. His contract runs to the end of 2028.
