About Vern Cotter
Vern Cotter was named Queensland Reds head coach in January 2026 on a two-year contract covering the 2027 and 2028 seasons, succeeding Les Kiss who left to take the Wallabies job. Cotter moves across from the Blues. A vastly experienced coach, he won the Top 14 with Clermont, coached Scotland from 2014 to 2017 and later led Fiji, and is known for building forward-dominant, physically uncompromising sides.
