Dave Rennie was confirmed as All Blacks head coach in March 2026, taking over from Scott Robertson, who departed in January that year following a New Zealand Rugby review of the campaign. Rennie named his first squad in June 2026 alongside selector Sir Graham Henry and senior assistant coach Neil Barnes, having completed his commitments with Kobe Steelers in Japan Rugby League One. He arrives with a long record in the professional game, including back-to-back Super Rugby titles with the Chiefs in 2012 and 2013, a spell in charge of Glasgow Warriors, and three years as Wallabies head coach.
