About Jono Gibbes

Jono Gibbes was confirmed as Chiefs head coach in July 2025 and took charge for the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season, succeeding Clayton McMillan who left for Munster. A former New Zealand and Chiefs back-row forward, Gibbes built a long coaching career in Europe with Leinster, Ulster, Clermont and La Rochelle before returning home to Waikato.
